An acrostic is a particular way of writing a poem.  They are written using the first letter of each line which then creates a word or phrase going down the page.  Each line can then contain a word, phrase or sentence to make up a poem.  They can rhyme but they certainly don’t have to.  Take a look at some examples below and then see if you can create your own using our Acrostic Poem worksheets.
